Hi beauties!
It's taken me over a month to write this because I was testing Mario Badescu's Gylicolic Acid Toner (form of AHA).
It's a massive bottle (236ml) priced at SGD 40. You can buy this on Amazon or Sephora. The ingredients listed are: Deionized Water (Aqua), Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) Gel, Grapefruit (Citrus Grandis Fruit) Extract, Glycolic Acid.
This is the first time I've used an acid on my skin. I love tanning so when using this I had to stop doing that to avoid sunburns due to the increased sensitivity. I chose this one cause it had good reviews overall and it will be easier for my skin to adapt to it with the aloe vera gel. If you're going to try it too, you should do a patch test on your skin before application.
Directions of use:
1) Cleanse your face
2) Put glycol acid toner on a cotton pad
3) Clean your face with it but AVOID EYE AREA. (It will sting your eyes, even if it's close to it. I learned this the hard way)
4) Serum
5) Moisturize
I only use my glycolic acid in the evening since we live in a sunny climate. After about 2 months of using it, I have seen a slight change in my skin as it cleared up. I did not flake while using it and I have combination to dry skin. I think I will buy another acid that has a stronger concentrate because I would like to see more results. I think it's a great place to start as it's more mild than other acids.
Please note that these experiences and opinions are ours only. Everyone has different skin so you may react to it differently than we did. Do you use an acid? Share with us!
XOXO.
