How to Repair Sun Damaged Skin

My sunny beauties,

Living in such climates means we can never run away from being under the sun. Did you know that a minimum of SPF 30 is necessary?

Sun damage accumulates over time - which is why everyone is always telling you to put sunblock everyday. This also means you need to put sunblock in the winter. I’m sure your ski / snowboard friends will tell you awful sunburn stories! We’ve accumulated some tips and tricks to help repair your skin of sun damage:

1. It’s never too late to start wearing sun block. This is an essential!

2. Exfoliation - it’s important to exfoliate your skin to make sure that you are shedding the dead skin on the surface to resurface new skin. This also helps to create an even skin tone. Make sure you are researching about this before you start!

3. Hydration and collagen - find products with these two actions in mind. As you grow older, the building of collagen slows down that you’ll need some help. You’ll also need hydration as sun exposure can dry out your skin.

4. For more serious cases you can consider chemical peels or microdermabrasion. This should be done at a reputable place to make sure you get the results you want.

There are so many treatments out there and if you’re interested, you should visit your trusted dermatologist for them to recommend the right one for you. Other than this, don’t forget to stay hydrated by drinking water.

XOXO
